Greetings Members,
Just a quick reminder about the September meeting tomorrow the 9th at 9am at the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church. Our guest speaker will be Elijah Baker, Education and Outreach Specialist from Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council. He will be comparing the most recent shoreline survey of Six Mile Lake to those that have been done in the past. The SMLA membership have contracted with Tip of the Mitt on two other occasions for shoreline survey work and this will give us a chance to see how our lake has faired over the past 25 years. We have the SAD, the loons, lots of new development on the north end of the lake…things…they are a-changing. Is it for the better? Let’s hope so. Elijah will also be answering questions about how to improve your shoreline and invasives past, present, and future. Try to arrange your schedule to come and maybe a little bribery with fresh coffee and donuts will get you sleepyheads out of bed to come join us!
