PRESIDENTS CORNER Happy New Year

Hello Everybody,
Happy New Year to all of you and I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas!  It was beautiful here on Six Mile Lake with just the right amount of snow to make for a festive holiday season and the Christmas Party in December was a wonderful time of camaraderie and fellowship with neighbors and friends.  God’s blessings, good food, good friends….what more can we ask for?
I wanted to let you know that snow here has been non-stop for the past week. Six Mile Lake is mired in a weather band that has dumped about 30 inches or more around the lake. We have shoveled our roof twice now and there is another foot of snow, at least, still up there and more on the way. They are now saying that we have a record amount of snow and will surpass the snows we had about three years ago. However, the lake is lower so, hopefully, we won’t have the flooding conditions we experienced but you never know. We are also having periods of warm temperatures and rain could be coming in as well so the snow will become very heavy. My advice is to get someone to shovel your roof if you haven’t already. We use Paul Hoffman and his number is 231-459-6005. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find anybody else, so, if anybody out there is reading this and you have a name you want to add, please do so in the comment section or text my phone at 231-676-9969.
Until next time,
Cherie Hogan
