Please Help – Photos Needed For Possible Flooding Grant

Dear Members,

Following is a real opportunity to showcase the flooding issues we have here on Six Mile Lake by emailing any and all dated flood pictures to Antrim County Dam Operator Leslie Meyers (see notice below) enabling her to pursue grant funding for the Ellsworth Culvert which has been identified as one of the choke points on the Upper Chain. This could reduce the overall amount needed in a possible proposed SAD dealing with this critical issue. Please submit your photos as soon as possible. Thank you!! – Cherie

Folks:

We have identified a possible grant funding source for the Ellsworth Culvert. We need as many pics of flooding issues in the upper chain. Forward any structure (including infrastructure) flooding that you may have. Please identify the date and location of each photo and provide them this week, if at all possible. The application is due early April, but we would like to get it in ASAP as the funding is very limited. It is important to note that while there is not enough to pay for the entire project, we could get all the engineering work covered. This would be a HUGE step forward.

Thx  – Leslie
