Little Traverse Conservancy – Project in Honor of Nathan Beem

Dear Members,

You may have received a letter from the Little Traverse Conservancy regarding a large tract of land on the east side of Six Mile Lake. It is 1880 feet of frontage just north of the north loon platform and south of Nelson Rd. Linda VanAndel informs me that it used to be part of the old Anderson property. It is wild and untouched and currently a family who has just purchased a home on Six Mile Lake is working with the Conservancy to preserve this property in honor of their son, Nathan Beem. I am certainly excited to see this latest project on Six Mile Lake and hope that you all feel the same way and will donate to help this become a reality. Further information will be provided by the Little Traverse Conservancy at the June 8 breakfast so please try to come.

There is also much activity going on at the St. Clair-Six Mile Lake Natural Area public access. An update will also be provided about this project as well.

Remember, Saturday June 8 at 9 am at the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church is our first gathering of the year and it involves, what else??? Food!!!! So bring a dish to pass and share good times and good food with the best group of people who make up the community of Six Mile Lake!!

See you there!!!
