Hi all~Hope you are having a great fall season so far!Looking forward to our annual trail spruce-up workbee/gathering at the St. Clair Lake-Six Mile Lake Nature Preserve next week on Wednesday September 26th from 10am to noon!1. Main task will be vegetation trimming and possible common buckthorn/autumn olive removal–and it’d be good to trim the driveway to the river as well as the trail. Bring your clippers and weedeaters. Note: there are no woodchips this year & it looked like the trail was okay without them for this year, so no need for wheelbarrows or rakes 🙂
2. Steve and I will provide an update on trail & infrastructure plans/needs3. Deana Jerdee from Paddle Antrim will be joining us with updates from her organizations work in the Chain of Lakes. We will bring extra gloves, tools, and snacks (cookies, grapes and cheese–and I’ll try to get some coffee too!), and if you would like to bring your own lunch it’d be fun to gather on the overlook after the workbee. If it is raining heavily, we will reschedule and plan on the next day, September 27th (same time).thanks! Angie
