Attention Six Mile Lake Boaters!
Just a friendly reminder to be aware of the wake that your boat is creating. With the high water levels that we have experienced, large wakes can cause damage to other boats, docks and erode the shoreline.
Large wakes are caused at slow speeds (5-15mph in most cases) where the boat is not on plane and the bow is high and the stern is low. Smallest wakes are at idle speed and also at faster speeds when the boat planes out. Let’s keep the boat wakes on the small side to help protect 6 Mile Lake and our boats, docks and shorelines.
Thank You,
Six Mile Lake Association Board
