Here are pictures of the loon platforms.
The first one is the platform located at the north end (farther picture), the second is the platform at the south end and you can see the indention where the loons have been building the nest.
The third picture shows Kelly Hogan with the buoys in the background and the fourth shows local DNR Officer Andrea Alberts who was nice enough to help us expedite
the permit process.
Wilson Lake loon ranger, Jim Barber, was kind enough to loan us the buoys as the Wilson lake loons did not return to Wilson Lake this year to nest.
The pair that have been on the south platform are now traveling back and forth to the north platform so we’ll see where they end up.
