Chain of Lakes Hydrology Study 2022

On Wednesday, June 22 at 4 pm, all elected officials, stakeholders, residents and interested members of the general public are invited to attend a zoom meeting with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) hydrologists who will present the findings of the recently completed hydrology study of the Antrim Chain of Lakes.

For the past 2 years, the USACE has been conducting the hydrology study and developing a computer model of the Elk River Chain of Lakes watershed in partnership with Antrim County. The model will be useful to study behavior patterns of the water flow and to predict lake water levels under different storm scenarios, including flood events. This meeting will begin with a presentation by USACE personnel followed by a question and answer period.

This should prove to be an interesting and thought provoking presentation for policy makers and residents alike.
