To All Six Mile Lake Property Owners:
As of this date, May 14, 2013, the SAD (Special Assessment District) has been approved and will be implemented on our Summer Tax Bill this year for all lake front and non front (with shared access) owners.
The cost per lake front property owners as reported from the townships is as follows:
South Arm Township Echo Township
2013 = $247.95 2013 = $271.70
2014 = $148.11 2014 = $160.05
2015 = $131.65 2015 = $142.26
2016 = $115.19 2016 = $124.28
2017 = $131.65 2017 = $142.26
5 year average per year:
South Arm Township = $154.91 Echo Township = $168.11
(difference is because township administration costs are approximately the same and there are fewer lake front property owners in Echo)

South Arm Township Echo Township
Average per year = $4.40 Average per year= $12.64

PLM has received all the necessary permits to treat the lake. Here is a TENTATIVE Schedule:
Week of June 3, 2013 Survey the lake
Week of June 10, 2013 (pending weather conditions) begin treatment
Week of July 15, 2013 Survey, weed and algae treatment
Week of August 12, 2013 Survey, weed and algae treatment
Week of September 9, 2013 AVAS survey (AVAS is a detailed survey of all lake vegetation that is documented to assist determining further treatment of the lake) This will be supplied to us for our review when completed
All of us will receive notification in the mail prior to any treatment application, signs will be posted at both boat launches and at all locations where the treatment is made. Once applied it takes some time for the plants to react to the herbicides.
