Hello Six Mile Lake Members and friends!
This is a reminder that the Six Mile Lake Association will host our annual picnic on Saturday, August 9th at 4:30 pm at Echo Township Park. This is a great opportunity to visit with friends and newcomers from around the lake and exchange stories and goings on from whatever quadrant of the lake you live on. And, of course, there is always the friendly rivalry about which side of the lake or which end of the lake is ‘the best’!! Neighborhood is important. This is where we live. We are so blessed to be here enjoying the most beautiful surroundings in the world and the picnic allows us time to enjoy each other. Please plan on attending. It’s only once a year. The Association supplies the brats and hot dogs and condiments. Please bring a dish to pass, your own plates, utensils and beverage. There’s always a fun ‘white elephant’ drawing so bring something nice (if you want) from around your house that you no longer need or want, disguise it or wrap it and put it on the ‘gift’ table. And, of course, we will have a 50/50 drawing and a drawing for a free membership. Different this year is that our newly elected county commissioner, Ray Scola, will give a brief update on the flooding and what the county is considering to address it. And there will be an election for three positions on the board which usually takes about two minutes, an update on the wakeboat issue and the loons. Dues can be paid at this time, also.
In closing…we are all volunteers, whether on the board or not, and all of us play a critical role in safeguarding our lake. Your involvement is so appreciated. I am pleased to announce that the Six Mile Lake Association now has 165 members.
We hope to see you on August 9th!! Make this date a priority.
Thanks so much.
